Angela Giraldo nació en Cali, Colombia, es ciudadana peruana y ha vivido en Alemania desde 1981.
Graduada en Administración de Empresas y Relaciones Públicas. Trabajó como guía de turismo en estudios de guianza en América Latina, fue consultora en cooperación para el desarrollo y portavoz en conferencias internacionales.
El enfoque actual de su trabajo está en la consultoría para empresas turísticas y -proyectos en Europa y América Latina con un enfoque en el turismo socialmente responsable y ambientalmente sostenible. Desde el principio, ha estado involucrada en el desarrollo del sistema de certificación de la RSE en el turismo y en la creación de TourCert.
