The project aims at training new professionals for sustainable tourism and exploring emerging markets, while keeping the well-being of local communities at the core of its strategies, towards a more responsible and sustainable future. Up-Skilling and Re-Skilling in Sustainable Tourism The WeNaTour training programme, targeting students and professionals seeking careers in tourism, offers the following opportunities: An online course on Sustainable Tourism (starting April 2025, hosted by the University of Padua). The WeNaTour E-learning Course is designed to provide fundamental knowledge and practical tools to innovate in sustainable tourism. The course will be hosted by the Moodle platform of the University of Padova and will include: Video lessons, assigned reading materials, quizzes & activities. An intensive two-week Specialization Programme in Italy and Austria for the top 20 students, funded by Erasmus+ mobility grants. The EU Specialization Programme is designed for students and professionals in tourism (18+ years old). Access is granted through the e-learning course, with top participants receiving mobility grants for a 14-day intensive program in Italy and Austria. Local VET courses in Ireland and Austria for those transitioning into tourism careers. The WeNaTour VET courses are designed for those transitioning into the tourism industry, offering professional qualifications and hands-on experience. Courses will focus on nature-based and sustainable tourism delivered in-person by Meath Partnership (Ireland) & BFW (Austria). At the international launch event during ITB Berlin 2025, the WeNaTour training programme and the Alliance were officially announced. E-learning on Welfare, Nature and Innovation in Tourism The WeNaTour E-learning Course is a training opportunity designed for those who want to gain knowledge and practical tools to innovate in the field of sustainable tourism. The course will take place on the Moodle platform of the University of Padua and will include video lessons, reading materials, quizzes, and interactive activities. Thanks to its asynchronous format, participants will be able to organise their study time according to their own needs, without schedule constraints. Throughout the programme, four live webinars with international professionals and real case studies will provide the chance to interact directly with experts and explore key topics in sustainable tourism.
